It's well known that many animals are particularly sensitive to high-frequency sounds that humans can't hear. Many commercial pest repellers based on this principle are available, most of them operating in the range of 30 to 50 kHz. Just imagine the possibilities - you could make your pet think twice before barking again in the middle of the night or even subdue hostile dogs and I guess burglars would love that!

From what I've read, dogs and other mammals of similar size behave much differently than insects. They tend to respond best to frequencies between 15 and 25 kHz and the older ones are less susceptible to higher tones. This means that an ordinary pest repeller won't work simply because dogs can't hear it. Therefore, I decided to construct a new circuit based on the venerableof course with a variable pitch and a relatively loud 82 dB miniature piezo beeper.

The circuit is very simple and can be easily assembled in half an hour. Most of the components are not really critical, but you should keep in mind that other values will probably change the operating frequency. Potentiometer determines the pitch: higher resistance means lower frequency. Since different dogs react to different frequencies, you'll probably have to experiment a bit to get the most out of this tiny circuit.

I have a neighbor dog that will not stop barking and I would like to be able to "push a button" and emit a db plus khz signal that would cause him to stop barking. If possible, I would like to be able to adjust the frequency so that I can find the optimum "spot". Any advice, idea or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Found a speaker. What is the price for it??? Don't have a clue, but I think that might be good for your project!

I have no advice on the project you propose but If this speaker is for the dog to stop barking, it may be possible that one of the neighbors' use for this dog is for protection, ie; bark in the case of an intruder or wild animal a reason why my family has a dog. In this case, the neighbors' are pretty much screwed if you build this whistle behind their back and, in the unlikely and unwanted event, a burgler or animal does enter their property.

If this is not the case, please disregard my comments.I need someone to make a ultrasonic dog barking machine. I have a neighbor who allows their dog to back early in the AM and all during the day, so I want a powerful ultrasonic device that when i turn it on it will make their dog howl at 3AM and wake them up, similar to when the fire engine goes by, so that they will get a taste of what they do to me.

This has been going on for a year and I can't get them to do anything to train the dog, they just don't care. I am willing to pay for a device that will work. The dog training devices like you see advertised like "Barkoff" have to be in the same room and all I have read is the ultrasonic dog trainers available don't penetrate walls.
